Acorns are edible and indelible. Check out this naturally, fashionably great workshop taught by the amazing Maggie Ruth Haaland…

Sunday, November 19th at the Elliot School: an introduction into the world of natural dyeing and local color! Root into the energy of late Fall and use acorns and oak leaves harvested from the Eliot schoolyard to coax color onto cloth. Learn basics of natural dyeing, including making a dye bath, the mordanting process, and eco-printing with leaves, and get to know more about the mighty oaks growing just outside the door. Participants will also have a chance to play around with acorn ink on paper. Beginners and intermediate dyers welcome. Class taught by the honorable herbalist Maggie Ruth Haaland
